For Such a Time as This

Esther did not ask to be queen. She was an orphan, a foreigner, living under an assumed name in a kingdom that did not know her. When the crisis came - when her people faced annihilation - she was the only one positioned to stop it. And she was terrified.

The command that came to her was simple and impossible: go to the king unbidden, break the law that could cost her life, and speak for those who had no voice. Her cousin Mordecai's words cut through her fear: you have come to this position for such a time as this. Not by accident. Not by luck. For this.

Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the recognition that you are already standing where you need to stand. The Lord does not place someone in a position of influence, proximity, skill, or opportunity by mistake. When the moment arrives that demands something of you - when silence becomes complicity, when comfort becomes cowardice, when your particular vantage point is the only one from which someone else can be helped - that is not coincidence calling. That is purpose.

The fear will still be real. The risk will still be there. But the ground beneath you is solid. You are not improvising your way into a role you were never meant for. You are stepping into the exact place you were made to occupy. The Lord who placed you there goes with you into it.
