You were chosen before you felt ready. Before you understood what you were chosen for, before the path made sense, before you could articulate why you matter. The choice was not contingent on your readiness or your clarity. It came first.
To be chosen means to be set apart for a specific task: to declare the praises of the one who called you. Not to perform perfectly. Not to have all the answers. Not to be spiritually advanced or morally flawless. Simply to tell what happened to you when you moved from darkness into light. That is the work you were selected to do.
The paths that lead there are not always straight. You will turn corners you didn't anticipate. You will second-guess which direction is right. But the voice behind you - the one who knows the terrain better than you do - speaks when you listen. It does not shout. It does not demand certainty before you move. It instructs you as you go, teaching you the way by walking it with you.
Your purpose is not hidden in some distant future you must decode. It lives in the present act: noticing what light has done in your own life and speaking about it. That declaration itself is the work. That witness is the priesthood. You don't need permission to begin. You need only to remember that you were chosen for this before anything else was true about you.
