Paul knew this. He wrote to people in actual danger, actual uncertainty, and told them something counterintuitive: bring it to God. Not after you've figured it out. Not when you're calmer. Now. Tell Him what you're afraid of, what you need, what you want to happen. Do this with thanksgiving - not because the situation is good, but because you know who is listening.

What follows is stranger than a solution. It is not the absence of the problem. It is peace that transcends understanding - a stability that doesn't match your circumstances. It guards your heart and mind like a garrison, keeping the anxiety at bay not by removing the threat but by redirecting where your attention lives. The peace of God doesn't explain why things are hard. It simply keeps you from being destroyed by the waiting.

This is not positive thinking. This is not pretending the worry doesn't exist. It is the deliberate act of naming what is true, speaking it aloud to the One who holds it, and then discovering that your nervous system can actually rest while the problem is still unsolved. The peace doesn't come from certainty about the outcome. It comes from certainty about who is listening.
